Customer Internet Banking Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Commitment to You

At First America Bank, we recognize, respect and protect the personal privacy rights of all our customers. We realize that our customers entrust us with personal information and it is our policy to maintain our customersÍ information in a confidential manner. We are committed to providing the highest level of security and privacy regarding the collection and use of our customersÍ personal information, as well as personal information of all consumers who visit our institution and website. We have prepared this policy to explain what types of information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we may share it. We want you to know that we use information we know about you responsibly to:

  • Provide you with the services you have requested;
  • Offer you other bank products and services;
  • Alert you to financial products and services made available by our carefully selected marketing partners.

Fair Credit Reporting Act Information. Sharing Opt Out

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we have a right to share information regarding our transactions or experiences with you. Unless you instruct otherwise, we also have the right to share any other information about you with our affiliates (persons related by common ownership or affiliated by corporate control, now or in the future) either directly or indirectly. This other information may include, but is not limited to, application information, credit reports from a consumer reporting agency, and any other information we have about you. If you do not want us to share this other information with our affiliates you may utilize the opt out method set forth below.

Opt Out Information

Financial Products or Services to Which Your Opt Out Applies

If you elect to opt out of information sharing we will treat that opt out as applying to all financial products or services that you have obtained from us in the past or that you may obtain from us in the future.

You do not have to take any action to prevent us from selling your information because we do not sell customer information to anyone.

Your Right to Opt Out of Information Sharing. If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic personal information about you or information not solely related to transactions or experiences with you to affiliated or nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law).

Each joint account holder may opt out separately or any one of you may opt out on behalf of all joint account holders.

You may notify us of your intention to opt out of affiliate and nonaffiliated sharing by utilizing the following method.

How to Opt Out of Information Sharing. To opt out of sharing information with nonaffiliated third parties, please complete and return the Notice of Intent to Opt Out - Nonaffiliated Third Parties to the following address: First America Bank, PO Box 470, Bradenton, FL 34206. To opt out of sharing information with our affiliated companies, please complete and return the Notice of Intent to Opt Out - Affiliated Companies to the following address: First America Bank, PO Box 470, Bradenton, FL 34206.

If we do not receive notice of your intent to opt out within 30 days of delivery of this notice to you, we are authorized to disclose information about you to our affiliated companies or to nonaffiliated third parties, in accordance with our privacy policies and procedures.

Notify Us of Inaccurate Information We Report To Consumer Reporting Agencies. Please notify us if we report any inaccurate information about your account(s) to a consumer reporting agency.
